Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student and flautist piano over 3 years. Lennox lived on the student allowance, and relied on part-time employment to augment her income. Lennox decided to change her path in life after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience in contrast to other Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. But she quit prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. She was the vocalist in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her debut solo album Diva, which was released by 1992. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album came out in the month of October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now, I'll let You Go... The album is also her debut independently-released album. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Medusa an album from her studio, that was released in 1995 features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as the No MoreI Always Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). She has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
